As a core part of our Outdoor Living Environments practice, this discipline is where the craft becomes specific โ the techniques, materials, and tolerances that separate generational work from passable work.
A patio cover is architecture. Its proportions, materials, and connection to the house determine whether the result reads as an addition or as an aftermarket attachment.
We design covers and sunrooms with the home's architect when possible, or in close study of the existing details. Heavy timber, exposed rafters, and integrated lighting are house standards.
Our patio structures carry full engineering, permit sets, and finished detailing. Louvered roofs from Equinox and Struxure pair beautifully with custom timber framing.

In California, almost always. Anything attached to the house or over a certain size requires permits โ we handle the entire process.
Louvered for flexibility โ sun in winter, shade in summer. Solid for full weather protection. Often we combine both in one structure.
