As a core part of our Hardscape Design & Construction practice, this discipline is where the craft becomes specific — the techniques, materials, and tolerances that separate generational work from passable work.
True masonry is one of the few remaining trades where a craftsman's eye still beats any algorithm. Every stone has a face, a weight, and a place — and finding it is the work.
Michael apprenticed under European stonemasons in the early 1990s and still personally lays the signature courses on every project.
We work in dry-stack, mortared, and veneer techniques, choosing the method that suits the architecture. Every joint is intentional; every face is selected.

It depends on use. Seat walls and freestanding garden walls love dry-stack; structural and water-adjacent walls usually want mortar.
We specify 3–5" full-bed veneer over a structural backup wall — never thin-set 'lick-and-stick.'
