As a core part of our Hardscape Design & Construction practice, this discipline is where the craft becomes specific โ the techniques, materials, and tolerances that separate generational work from passable work.
Driveways, motor courts, and pool decks live a hard life โ heat, weight, and water. The difference between a pavement that ages well and one that fails in five years is almost entirely below the surface.
We specify and install pavers and decorative concrete to commercial-grade base standards, with permeable options that earn LEED credits and keep the watershed healthy.
Compaction, geotextile, drainage, and edge restraint are non-negotiable. Get those right and the surface lasts decades; get them wrong and no pattern can save it.

12" engineered base
Compacted Class II in lifts, plate-tested.
Permeable options
Belgard Aqua-Roc and Aqua-Bric for stormwater compliance.
Joint sand stabilization
Polymeric joint sand prevents weeds and ant tunneling.

Considerations
Questions worth asking.
Pavers flex with soil movement and can be lifted to repair utilities. Stamped concrete cracks. We almost always recommend pavers for driveways.
30+ years on a properly engineered base, with only joint sand re-application every decade.
